You have an idea? | We bring it to life!
Now Outdoor is your source for creating the ultimate backyard retreat.
Passion, Hard Work and an Eye for Backyard Art is why you'll choose Now Outdoor.
The process begins with a visit to your home where we discuss your needs, sharing your vision of your dream. After your initial consultation and agreement, Now Outdoor will provide you with a quotation and a 3D design of your future deck, to give you an idea. Once you agree, we charge a deposit of 50 percent of the project cost. The balance should be paid at completion. The timeline to start your project is approximatively 2 to 4 weeks from the moment the deposit has been received.
Not all composites are created equal. Our range of real wood looks is unmatched, and our protective cap resists moisture and locks in rich color — so your deck will continue to look and perform beautifully without the costly, time-consuming maintenance of wood.
Durability: Composite decking is more durable and long-lasting than traditional wood. The colour and texture of your deck will last for years with no need to seal or stain your deck. Composite decking resists mold, mildew, stains, scratches, insects, rotting and fading, and it won’t splinter, warp, or cup.
Disadvantages: More expensive than wood but comes with peace of mind and zero time and costs on maintenance.
Canadian western red cedar
Popular most of all for its appearance, outstanding strength weight ratio and low rate of expansion and contraction. It is an environmentally friendly product since it does not need to be treated. Red cedar contains natural oils that make it resistant to moisture, insects and decay. It is light, easy to work with and easily accepts a range of finishes including paint, tint, varnish, oil or wax.
Durability: On the durability scale, western red cedar is defined as highly durable (15-25 years). In other words, selecting western red cedar for your deck can guarantee a durable product for at least 15-20 years.
Disadvantages: Softwood, Knots, not suitable for heavily used surfaces decking. Stain and labor costs over the years may surpass the initial costs of composite. Not talking about the headache.
MicroPro technology reduces the environmental footprint to less than half that of traditional residential treated wood. The MicroPro treated wood process was the first, and is the only, wood treatment process to be certified by Scientific Certification Systems as an Environmentally Preferable Treated Wood Process, based on Life-Cycle Assessment. MicroPro® preservative technology also meets the stringent standards of UL GREENGUARD GOLD certification for low VOC emissions. Pressure Treated Wood is suitable for use in schools, offices, and other sensitive environments.
Durability: Pressure treating protects against structural failure due to rot, fungal decay and termite attack. However, the surface of any wood exposed outdoors, treated or not, needs to be protected from the effects of weathering, such as warping, checking, splitting and colour fading. Applying a high-quality water repellent or stain with water repellent can help reduce these effects.
Disadvantages: Shorter lifespan than cedar 10-15 year, it warps and shrinks significantly compared to cedar. Stain can't be applied immediately after the installation.

We chose cedar for its beauty and durability. Now Outdoor team helped us with the stain choice and gave us very useful tricks to actually succeed. Our new deck looks amazing. "We build a new deck for our new home. They started earlier and finished sooner.
They took the time with us, to help us decide the best option for us. We chose composite and we are glad we did. So easy to maintain. Even with the dust and pollen you can easily clean it up with the hose. Doesn't slip and plus it dries pretty quick. Our back year is heading south.
Wow Now Outdoor! You guys' Rock!"
